Installer corrupted: invalid opcode

Modified on Mon, 29 Dec at 5:31 PM

The 'Installer corrupted: invalid opcode' error message typically occurs when your Windows user account does not have administrative permissions. This means that your account does not have the necessary rights to make changes to your computer's system files and settings. To resolve this issue, you will need to add your account to the local administrators group which will give your account the necessary permissions.

How to: Add a user to the Administrators Group

  1. Press the Windows Key + X on your keyboard
  2. Select Computer Management
  3. Double click on Local Users and Groups to expand the list
  4. Click Groups and double click on Administrators
  5. Click on the Add button, enter your username and select Check Names
  6. Click OK, followed by Apply and OK
  7. Re-Launch the installer
